چکیده

Copernican Cosmography was used to discover the path linking Cebu islands and Acapulco via Kuro-Shivo Stream, as registered in Physica Speculatio, first physics book written in New Spain. Teaching and practice of Copernican theory were an outcome of both Spanish expansion into the Pacific Ocean and native elite instruction devised by Augustinian friars. Copernican cosmography was explained in Physica Speculatio’s first edition in addition to the reference given by Alonso de la Veracruz about the use of Copernican theory to detect Pacific Islands in Physica Speculatio’s Fourth edition. Also, Veracroce standpoint about the differences between physics and mathematics is discussed in terms of its relation to the rejection of the Copernican Theory as a Natural Theory.

Can the Copernican principle be tested by cosmic neutrino background ?

The Copernican principle, stating that we do not occupy any special place in our universe, is usually taken for granted in modern cosmology. However recent observational data of supernova indicate that we may live in the under-dense center of our universe, which makes the Copernican principle challenged. It thus becomes urgent and important to test the Copernican principle via cosmological obse...

A Detailed Spectral Reflectivity

An observational study was performed to determine relative spectral reflectivity differences (0.41.1 microns) in the Copernicus region of the moon, as well as several other bright crater areas. A photoelectric filter photometer was used. Results suggest that: (1) spectral features do exist. (2) The spectral feature amplitude in the normalized relative spectral reflectivity curves for areas stud...
